Lisa, our owner and CEO, is an award-winning, veteran producer and journalist. After spending eight years producing for Fox Sports Southwest and WFAA, she founded Dreamfly Productions in 2006. Her most recent film, A Birder’s Guide to Everything, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was later released in theaters nationwide. The movie, starring actor Ben Kingsley, was directed by Rob Meyer who co-wrote the film with Academy Award-winner Luke Matheny. Lisa’s previous film productions include Universal Squadrons (2009), which premiered at Comic-Con Film Festival, and Homestretch (2007), which aired nationally on PBS. Last year, Lisa and Extreme Home Makeover’s Michael Maloy launched Ten East Ten West Productions, and they served as executive producers of the reality show Horseplayers on Esquire Network. During the last NFL season, Lisa created and produced the Dallas Cowboys weekly talk show, The FAME, with hosts Lindsay Draper and Tony Banks. Lisa has earned four Telly Awards, two Emmy Awards, and an Iris Award.
In addition to being our fearless leader, Lisa has coined and enforced the term “Chipotle Thursdays” at the office, she breeds guinea pigs in her free time, she has two talented daughters, and she’s happily married to an Eddie Vedder look-alike—something she boasts as the closest connection she will ever have to Pearl Jam, her secret obsession.
